Janseville WI back in 1986 Joe was on the same team as Nor Cal Bmx Hall of Famer Ronnie Anderson. Joe started racing in 1983... then raced for factory Coke for a year. Joe raced every NBL national in 86 in the U.S. and a few ABA nationals, Back in the day big sponsors were paying out and Joe was living the dream at 15 years old. Hardees was a major fast food chain that had a big budget for its bmx team...the team even had a new 85 suburban truck and a enclosed trailer all pimped out. Joe was lu cky to get on the team and be a part of it before Hardees franchises were over. Joe almost won a Grand National and was a main event maker at all the Nationals. Were glad Joe is back into and riding for Psykopath with his kids.

1982 ABA Nationals/Winter-Nationals - 1982-Chandler/
The start is the most important thing in bmx racing then and now, I was never good at it, but when you take the right snap you just know it.
In future post you will see old skool pictures of past Psykopath Riders. So all you past Psykopaths send in in those pictures of bmx Piorneering, or we will find them. I'm # 18 sponsored by Bike Village Racing (BVR)/Pizzia Hut, that day I rode well with all National Factory riders in my class but just missed the main on the bubble.

For alot of folks its a football party weekend, but for us BMXERS its the 2012 USA BMX Grand National - - PRO Series Final November 22 - November 25, 2012

What riders have to say about the contest
What do you think of the contest and why?
It´s a superfun and relaxed contest and the perfect way to end the season with your friends. I am very over traveling right now, but will travel over the pond anyway. I guess that shows that it´s a pretty damn good contest!
What is the atmosphere like?
The atmosphere is definitely more towards having a good time then to win it. And that´s a great way to end a very competitive season.
Is the contest like other contest?
The comp and weekend have their own tweaks, always fun with something a bit different.
"Martin Soderstrom"
What do you think of the contest and why?
I think that the head to head format is awesome. It's unique for a dirt jump contest and it reminds me of racing dual slalom back in the day...
What is the atmosphere like?
Atmosphere is mellow. It feels like a jam.
Is the contest like other contest?
Nope, AT's Showdown is a refreshing detox from the hectic contest schedule that we go through over the summer.
