Its a pretty solid tradition that we at Psykopath always send a few representatives to the UCI SX series since it kicked off in our hometown about 4 years ago. This year a few of our guys have had some injuries leaving Nick Valencia sidelined and our sole survivor and carrying the flag is none other than SX veteran Jesse Langland. Jesse has made it out of time trials every year so far and with a little bit of luck hopefully this year he can crack into the top 8! Alot of hype is surrounding this race as quite a few Ams are riding it for their first time. Haha check the results from 4 years ago we had a handful of ams gettin busy long before the current hype which is a nod to the guys we keep involved with. Good luck Jesse and remember take 2 craks and charge it.

So if you missed out on this first annual "Nor-Cal Classic" dont get too down on yourself their is a 2nd one planned very soon on the 28th of this month. We at Psykopath teamed up with Nick Valencia and helped sponsor the first ever race that featured legendary old school freestylers and some new park rippers alike. The format was a flat pedal race to see who had the racer deep inside them. 35 guys showed up and got things going and it was awesome to see the skilled park guys and the sketchy noobs taking laps around the track. Below are a few pictures of the festivities thanks to Daniel Porter. For information on how you can get involved in round 2 of the race simply email Nick- dawgincnorcal@aol.com for the info.

And what race day isnt complete without a pic from the local park?

Beijing Represent!

We are very excited to be sponsoring Olympic athletes here in Psykopath.

Augusto Castro

and Sergio Salazar

were in China representing Columbia and Psykopath. Psykopath has always been around since the early 80's since Carl the owner got the bmx bug in him, from just a neighborhood street club, that later became a small local race team when Carl's three boys started racing in the 90's, Then in Mid 2004 Carl decided to to start a full factory race and street team and design frames from the riders themselves. He knew he wanted to recruit the best talent out there with a very small budget. We recruited a handful of A Pro's with promising bmx careers, and since Carl is from Columbia, and new the U.S. team already had deep talent he recruited a number of riders form South America. It's been a long trip to this point for us, back in 2004 Psykopath started sponsoring couple of South American riders Damian Lopez, Gustavo Lopez, then U.S. Olympic Long team member Randy Stumphouser held a Sprint Trails Race on his own Backyard. Thats were we introduced Augusto Castro, Sergio Salazar,. Damian Lopez, and our goal was to design the best race frame on the market, and get our boys in the Beijing Olympic Games in 08. This is were it all started, Looking back to that race you can see Olympic Sliver Medalist Mike Day, and many other Olympic hopefuls

(DC race on youtube March 2005)

that race marked a point in Psykopath History Sponsoring the largest BMX Pro Roster in bmx history, at one point we had over 20 pro racers on the team, from Foreign Talent to local Heros, which lead other bike companies to start building there pro roster even bigger and supporting riders trying to make a living on their bikes.

They were all very young talented athletes and they didn't know then but they were all Olympic Hopefuls, fast forward a few years later we feel very proud helping to get two of our riders to the Olympics, winning many races worldwide, and creating the fasting bmx race frame in the Olympic Games. We are currently scouting new talent in the A Pro/Super X/Girl Pro, for our development program, who knows you may be in the Next Olympics. Also be on the lookout for our Newest race frame design, called the Castro Pull.

Freedom and Tulare Times

From The Psykopath World Headquarters we got you the Race report .
The East Coast Team headed to The NBL Freedom National’s Woodbridge, Virginia.
The race was right in Larson’s Family backyard well not exactly in their backyard but less than 10 minutes away from their house. They had a great time and Jon Larson took some amazing pictures
Psykopath was well represented at the NOVA BMX Track in Woodbridge, the race was on April 25-27. The track was smooth and well maintained as usual. Kudos to the track Operators and all the volunteers that make this posible! The weather was warm on Saturday and cool on Sunday but the racing was exciting regardless of the weather.
Alan Hudson flew in Friday night, or more like Saturday morning. Alex Larson picked Alan up from the airport and went to the Larson's house to stay for the weekend. After arriving to the house Alex and Alan built his bike staying up until around 2am.Hmmm, maybe not the best thing to do before National Day 1.(but we all do it every once in a while)
Alan Hudson USAC # 7 raced the Elite class Saturday and Sunday with some impressive starts. Showing that training is starting to pay off, just give Alan some time and he will be top 10 for sure, Diego Alejandre raced Super Ex Saturday and Sunday. He showed everyone he can get out of the gate and down the first straight quick. Finishing 3-3-1 Saturday and 4-3-2 Sunday. Alex Larson raced Super Ex and put his heart into the race Saturday. Alex is recovering from a motorcycle crash a few weeks ago. No Main making in the Elite and Super Ex class but they put on a good show. Unfortunately, Alan and Diego crashed on Sunday, luckily both are ok. Emileigh Larson, 14 Girl, finished second in all motos and the main both Saturday and Sunday.
After the racing Saturday, Psykopath riders had a cook out at the Larson's. Some additional friends joined the fun, J.C. Alejandre, Romer and kids, and Micha Vanhorn. There was tons of food including yummy marinated chicken and marinated steak that would melt in your mouth thanks to the Alejandre's. It was a great weekend and the racing was spectacular!
Later on May 2nd, Good Old Psykovan Headed to down to U.S Nationals in Tulare, California to see some hot action racing! and we saw Alan Hudson got a second on Friday Open, he was flying on the new Redesign Tulare Track, if it wasn't that he came unclipped on the first turn he would have won, we also had the opportunity of watching Kyle " Z-Man " Zondervan debut on A Pro, Look for Kyle in the Upcoming Nationals! Evan Steinbergh made the main on Sunday taking home a well deserved 3th place, Good job Evan!.
It was a good weekend, hot! And really dry, but a fun weekend! We saw a lot of old friends, and we all agree that this Summer Nationals are going to be huge! So if you planning on going to Roseville for the Summer Nationals drop by the Psykopath tent and say Hi! , who knows maybe Test Ride one of our Frames! Maybe pick up a sticker?? We’ll see. If you got any questions you can email me at: psykopath_industries@yahoo.com

Seeya ath the track!

Cameron “BubbaRock” White, he races 12 expert, he’s 3x Florida State Champion, 2x Redline Cup Champion 3X District Champion and NAT #197 If not for a little bad luck at the Grand’s Cameron would have made it 3 for 3, Chelsea Ledbetter, she races the always though 10 Girls, she snagged a grey plate N.A.G. #4, she’s also the 2x Florida State Champion, Disney Cup Champion and District#1, Mazin “ Amazing” Shehayeb he’s 9 expert, he grabbed a N.A.G. #9, he’s also Florida State Champion and currently District #, Blake Sawyer, who races the super fast 15 expert class, and he is the State Champion! Congratulations to all our riders for a wonderful 07 Season. Mike White is our Team Manager for the East Coast Team, and he does a wonderful job.

At the Gator Nationals this year, with nobody entering Factory we used a few riders on the Jesters Team Sheet and nailed down a win.
The ABA didn’t take too lightly us running some factory Rostered riders in a different category, so we got the win yanked!! But had a great time riding anyway.
With only 4 riders we took out some teams that had 5 times that amount, and unfortunately we didn’t get to keep the points but the team had fun and that’s what really matters.

For those on the West Coast let me introduce you to JESTERS BMX. Jesters is a mainly NBL state team that we sponsor and they have been taking down some serious results in the ever so popular Florida State Series. We have a great time working with this. Congrats on the great start already and well be watching for more in the coming months. Good luck at the upcoming Florida races! Our riders have put a lot into this Jesters Team and have made it a strong force! We are proud to have the Psykopath representation over there in FLORIDA.

We want to give a big THANK YOU! To Mike White and Family for all the support you've given us trough the seasons. Also big props to Jesters- Pat Marchese and Family have always represented us well. You can check them at http://www.freewebs.com/jestersbmx/ big Thanks to you guys!

The Psykopath Arizona team rocked the house at the AZ State Qualifiers. On Black Mountain on Saturday we took the team trophy out of 11 teams!!!! There were 76 motos on Saturday on a beautiful sunny Arizona day. All of our riders did very well. Chris Anderson won in 13 Cruiser, and Blake Foxx won the very tough 15X class. Nick Givargis and Zach Jolicouer took 3rd's in 11 and 12X, and Dani Blackmore took a 2nd in 13 Girls. Michael Anderson, Jr. took a 3rd in his first Big 6 Inter race! Reid Gray took 1st in 10 Inter, as well as Missy Anderson in the 36-40 Girl Cruiser class.

Sunday was a great day at Chandler BMX as well with 71 motos. We didn't double up for the team trophy, but our riders did a great job! We had a team party with lots of food and goodies! It was an awesome day! We got to do the parade lap since we won on Saturday! We had 4 riders race the Pro Am (Alan Hudson, Evan Steinberg, Shaun Chandler, and Blake Foxx) Great job guys! Alan Hudson got the win!

He was on fire!!! Also, Chris Anderson swept the 13X and Cruiser class! Zachary Jolicoeur and Shaun Chandler won their Cruiser races! Nick Givargis fought to get a 3rd in the tough 12X class almost going down with Cory Holmes. Michael “Weasel” Anderson, Sr. took a 2nd in the 36-40 Cruiser class. Our new rider Colin Whittington made his main on Sunday in the largest class of the day 8 Intermediate (they had 18 riders!).Colin's Dad Gary made his first big main event in the 36 & Over Novice class too! Our Girl rider Dani Blackmore got a solid 2nd.

We are so proud of all of our riders for their dedication and hard work! Also, thank you to all the parents for being so supportive! , Special thanks! To our team Manager Annette Anderson, Michael Anderson Senior and all the Andersons, without you guys we couldn’t do it! Thanks for everything you guys do for us!
